Chapter 12

Bella spent the whole time Billy and jacob had visited worrying about whether or not Billy would tell Charlie that she was dating Edward. Billy did not tell Charlie anything at all, but he did warn Bella to "take care" around the Cullens before he left. The next day Edward asked a lot about the people that were involved in Bella's life like her mother, grandmother, past boyfriends, etc. At lunch Edward told her that he was leaving after lunch so that he and Alice, his sister, could hunt. He said that if he was going to spend the next day alone with her he did not want to take any risks of biting Bella. The rest of Bella's day went by slowly without him and she started to fret about what it would be like if she ever lost him. Mike asked her about the dance and Edward and she told him that Edward cancelled his plans for Seattle, which hypothetically he did, and that she was not going to the dance under any circumstances. On Saturday Edward was on her doorstep after Charlie had left and he told her where to go once they were in the car, Bella had decided that she was going to drive because his driving scared her. They basically drove to a faraway fringe of woods and started hiking to a place that was Edward's favorite place to be when it was sunny. They hiked for about two hours and finally came upon a shining grove with a stream, violet, yellow, and white lilies, and a magical aura surrounding it. Bella was so amazed she almost forgot the reason they came here, too see what happened when Edward stepped into the sun. Bella turned to face him and waited for him to join her in that magical grove.

Chapter 11

Over the next two days Bella and Edward seemed to be infatuated with each other. Bella having urges to just simply touch his face to see what it would feel like and Edward's love for Bella fighting his desire to drink her blood. Edward had bombarded Bella with questions about her life and she had answered them all as best she could. Mike had gotten angry at Bella because she was goin gout with Edward, he felt it wasn't safe that "Edward stares at [her] like [she's] something to eat." One night when Edward drops Bella off at home they sat in his car for hours asking and answering his questions until they decided it was late, but before Edward left a car pulled in and it turned out to be Jacob, who was completely oblivioulsy happy to see Bella, and his father Billy, who was terrified for Bella because she was interested with one of the Cullens.

Chapter 10

When Bella was ready to go to school in the morning she noticed that Edward was parked outside and waiting for her. He asked her if she wanted to go with him or go by herself, giving her a choice like she had a choice to have nothing to do with him or stay with him. Of course she chose to ride with him. When they got to school Edward told her that she was awaiting a bombardment of questions from Jessica. He said she would if if they were secretly dating and if she really likes him. Bella asked what she should say frantically and Edward told her to say yes to the first one and that he would be listening to her answer for the second one. Bella told Jessica that she really liked Edward, probably more than edward liked her, but Edward disagreed to that. During lunch they had talked more about Edward and how his family hunts and Bella was excited to see what was so cool about vampires and the sun on the day she was supposed to go to Seattle with Edward. He had asked her if they could stay out of the public view and she, of course, agreed with him.

Chapter 9

While Edward and Bella drove home Bella told Edward about the legends that Jacob told her concerning the "cold ones" and Edward seemed very serious and intent on hearing what she had to say about it. Bella said she did some research, some fishing on the web and Edward asked her what she found, but Bella said it didn't matter. It didn't matter what Edward was to her because it didn't change anything she felt towards him. Eventually on the ride back Edward admitted to being a vampire and Bella took it without shock as if expecting it all along. By the time Bella had been dropped off and was ready to go to sleep she had decided three thing. 1. Edward was a Vampire. 2. Part of him wanted her blood. And 3. She was hopelessly in love with him.

Chapter 8

When the girls got to Port Angeles bella helped the igrls pick out their dresses ans shoes. When Angela and Bella were alone for a minute Bella asked angela if the Cullens were often gone when it was sunny weather. Angela said that they were because they liked to take advantage of the good weather and hike. Bella walked around Port Angeles for a while after they had finished their shopping while the other girls went and walked somewhere else. Bella walked by a group of four young drunk men and she noticed that two of them had continued to follow her. She walked down a deserted street and turned the corner only to realize that they were leading her to the other two men, "She was being herded." Then a car screeched in and the passenger door opened and she quickly got in, it was Edward. After they drove away Bella noticed that Edward was very angry, but she tried to calm him down. They went to dinner together afterwards. Bella had learned that Edward had found her by listening to the minds of the men that followed , which made him livid, and he knew she was in Port Angeles because he followed her there. Edward started to drive Bella home.

Chapter 7

After the beach Bella had a boring weekend and was excited to see Edward in school. The first day back she didn't see the Cullen's volvo in the parking lot so she was slightly depressed and to add onto her depression Mike had asked her out to dinner, but she told him it would hurt Jessica's feelings. When lunch came around Edward wasn't there yet again and Bella felt sad. He wasn't in biology so Bella was actually glad that she was supposed to help Angela and Jessica find dresses for the dance that night. Unfortunately Jessica canceled their plans that night because Mike had asked her out to dinner so they would have to go the next day. Bella had nothing to do that night so she decided to read a book. The main character in the book was named Edward so she picked another book and the hero's name in that book was Edmund. She decided to just soak up as much sun as she could instead of thinking of Edward. The next day was pretty much a repeat of the day before and Bella was excited to get it over with and go to Port Angeles with Angela and Jessica.

Chapter 6

Bella headed to the beach with Mike, Jessica, Lauren, Eric, Angela, and some other people from her new school. About a half an hour after the group arrived at the beach in La Plush half of them decided to go for a hike. Since Lauren, who isn't very nice towards Bella, wasn't going on the hike Bella decided she better take advantage of spending time away from Lauren and went on the hike. They hiked through wood and went to some tide pools near the oceans edge. When they headed back they noticed there were some additions to the group they had left behind. Some of the teenagers from the reservation had come to socialize. When they sat down on the drift wood logs Lauren decide to be annoying and mention the Cullens to Bella, obviously trying to get her angry, but the oldest looking reservation kid told them that the Cullen's didn't come to La Plush, making it sound like they weren't allowed to. Bella noticed a smaller boy with long black hair and an all around "pretty" face, according to her, that seemed to remember her from somewhere. They knew each other when they were little and Bella lived in Forks. Bella decided to ask Jacob, the boy, what Sam, the older boy, meant when he said the Cullens didn't come to La Plush. Jacob was hesitant at first, but then he told her an old indian tale about "Cold Ones", Blood Drinkers" and "Vampires". According to legend the Cullens were the very same vampires in the stories, but Jacob said it was all just superstition.

Chapter 5

During lunch Edward was sitting by himself at a table and waved bella over to sit with him. They talked and asked questions about each other during all of lunch, almost to the point that they were alone in the lunch room. Edward ditched biology class today and as soon as Bella got there she wished that she had to. They were finding out what their blood types were today and Bella was unnaturally squemish when it came to blood. Mike had to take her to the nurse and about halfway there when Bella said she had to lay down. Edward found them and picked her up off of the sidewalk and told Mike he could go back to class. Mike was upset, but he went back to the classroom regardless. Edward asked Bella if she really wanted to miss P.E., which she did, and he brought her to his car and drove her home. On the ride home Edward asked about Bella's mom and other things about her. When they got to Bella's house she asked him if he was going to the beach trip Mike had planned in "La Plush", a Quilete reservation near Forks. He quickly told her he couldn't and said he would be hiking with his brother Emmet. Bella was dissappointed, but she tried not to show as much.

Chapter 4

Edward had been ignoring Bella as of late and she was very frustrated with him. Jessica also told Bella that a dance where the girls ask the boys was coming up and Jessica asked if she could ask Mike. Bella, of course, said yes because she had no interest in Mike. The next day though Jessica looked very depressed ans Bella only guessed it was because Mike had said no.
In biology Mike was sitting on the edge of Bella's table trying to ingnore Edward. Then he suddenly told Bella that he wished that she would ask him to the dance. Bella felt guilty, but she told him that she would be out of town and that he should go with Jessica. By the end of the day Bella had gotten two more invitation to the dance, which she turned down, from Tyler and Eric. Edward stopped Bella the next day before class to tell her they shouldn't be friends, but that he couldn't help wanting to spend time with her he also asked her if she needed a ride to Seattle the day of the dance. Bella had her doubts, but she accepted his invitation anyway.

Chapter 3

Bella wakes up and notices that once again the ground is covered in snow and since it rained the day before the streets were covered in ice. Bella drove to school and noticed that Charlie put chains on her tires to keep her srom sliding on the ice. After she bent down and looked at the chains on her tires she heard a screech and looked up. She saw Edward looking at her with a horror stricken face and then she saw a tan van sliding her way. She braced for impact from the van, but something knocked her out of the way. She opened her eyes and found Edward was holding her close to his side and she quickly figured out that he had saved her. The only problem was that he was so far away from her, but when Bella asked him about it he said he was right next to her. Bella and Tyler, the boy in the tan van, were taken to the hospital. Bella had not one scratch on her. She met Edward's father, Dr. Cullen, whom seemed very young and attractive just like his children to Bella. Bella spoke to Edward after she was allowed to leave the hospital about what had happened during the accident and Edward simply told her she was hallucinating and should leave the matter alone. Bella, however, was highly suspicious that something was very peculiar about Edward.

Chapter 2

Bella started off chapter two by being utterly frightened to see Edward Cullen once again. She didn't want to get out of bed for fear of the coming day, but she made herself. When she gets to school she is terrified the whole first half of the day about seeing Edward at lunch, but when she walks into the lunch room Edward and his brothers and sisters are nowhere to be seen. This calms Bella's nerves a little bit, but then she soon remembers biology class and frets the rest of the day about having to sit next to Edward again. When she goes to biology she holds her breath and walks into the room, but Edward is nowhere to be seen. Bella was greatly relieved, but she felt angry that someone that barely knew her resented her so much. Edwards absence continued for a few days until one day when Bella walked into the lunch room. Expecting Edward to not be there Bella walked into the lunch room without a worry. Then she saw that Edwards recently empty table was occupied by all five Cullens and Hales. Bella does feels sick and sits with her friends at a table. Her friend Jessica says that Edward was staring at Bella, but Bella quickly tells Jessica to stop looking at him so he would just leave them alone. In biology class that day Edward actually talked to Bella and seemed very interested in her life and why she moved to Forks. Bella felt a bit uncomfortable to talk to him and she noticed that his eyes seemed to be a different color, but she quickly put that thought out of her mind. Near the end of biology Edward seemed just as tense as the first class she had with him and he walked out just as quickly when the bell rang. Bella left school feeling very confused and depressed.

Jessica, her new friend told her all they're names. Alice, Edward, and Emmet Cullen and Jasper and Rosalie Hale, all children of Dr. Cullen and his wife. Bella kept staring at the one boy she found extremely appealing, Edward Cullen. She glanced at him through out lunch and and he sometimes caught her glancing and glared at her before lunch ended. She then had Science and had to sit next to him and th entire class she noticed how he was tense and rigid around her and when class was over he nearly ran out of the door.
